Der Gitarren-Virtuose Gus G., im Rock- und Metaluniversum bekannt für seine herausragende Arbeit in der Band von Ozzy Osbourne sowie als Mastermind seiner eigenen Band Firewind, hat bekanntgegeben, dass er als Solo-Künstler einen Vertrag mit seinem langjährigen internationalen Label-Partner Century Media Records unterschrieben hat. Sein Solo-Debütalbum „I Am The Fire“ wird im Frühjahr 2014 erscheinen.

Gus G. kommentiert den neuen Deal folgendermaßen:

"I Am The Fire" wurde von Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Steel Panther, etc.) gemixt und in den letzten Monaten sowohl in Los Angeles als auch in Gus’ Heimat Griechenland aufgenommen. Einige Songtitel sind „Eyes Wide Open“, „Redemption“, „End Of The Line“ und „Blame It On Me”.
Auf dem Album erwartet euch ein ausgewogener Mix aus präzisem Songwriting, treibendem modernen Rock, klassischem Hard Rock, stampfenden Metal-Stücken und atemberaubenden Instrumentals. Eine abwechslungsreiche musikalische Reise, die weitere Facetten von Gus G.s Gitarrenspiel offenbaren wird.
