The AUSTRIAN HEAVY METAL ALLIANCE (AHMA) has grown by now to a conglomerate of seven Austrian heavy metal bands. Founded in April 2014, our goal is to draw some well deserved attention to contemporary Austrian heavy metal music, in Austria and across the globe.

Andee Overtone, one of AHMA's driving forces, explains: "From a heavy metal perspective, Austria was a dead wasteland between 2000 and 2010. Only a handful of bands stuck to old school heavy metal, nobody showed up at the concerts, bands like OMEN or AGENT STEEL playing in front of 50 people in Vienna. Around 2010 things got better again, and now there's a healthy underground scene with many interesting bands all across Austria.
We wanted to channel all that energy, tighten the bonds between these like-minded artists. All of these bands are currently working on (or just released) their debut-LPs, play lots of gigs and share a great attitude - so watch out, the AUSTRIAN HEAVY METAL ALLIANCE will show you only the hottest diamonds in the rough!"

Landmarks in AHMA-history:

-April 2014: birth of the Alliance with five bands:
DIAMOND FALCON, LIQUID STEEL, WILDHUNT, ROADWOLF & HIGH HEELER

-May 2014: first big scale AHMA event at the Viper Room Vienna,
overwhelming live-performances of ROADWOLF, WILDHUNT & HIGH HEELER

-January 2015: AUSTRIAN HEAVY METAL ALLIANCE VOL.1
a vinyl compilation featuring the five original bands is released on 'The Doc's Dungeons'

-February 2015: AHMA-forces in the west of Austria:
WILDHUNT, HIGH HEELER & LIQUID STEEL perform at the ALPINE STEEL FESTIVAL in Innsbruck

-March 2015: expanding and growing stronger:
new warriors KÜENRING & GRIM JUSTICE join the Alliance!
