Eine schmucke 5 CD Box aus dem Hause Earache liegt derzeit in den Regalen der Läden um Neueinsteigern und all jenen, denen das CD Wechseln auf die Eier geht Spaß und Überblick zu verschaffen. Die Parole heißt Krawall und der Inhalt kann sich selbstredend sehen lassen. Schön auf die jeweiligen Rundlinge abgestimmt bringt das britische Lärmlabel einen schicken und absolut pfundigen Überblick über das hochkarätige Veröffentlichungsschaffen. Alte Recken, astreine legenden und brandheiße Newcomer tummeln sich auf den fünf CDs und die Songauswahl kann sich durchaus sehen lassen.
So lärmen auf Disc 1 und 4 - den amerikanischen Silberlingen – nebst Größen wie Deicide, Morbid Angel oder Massacre aufstrebende Namen wie Bonded By Blood und Municipal Waste, präsentiert Disc 2 die UK Institutionen Bolt Thrower, Carcass und Napalm Death ebenso, wie die sträflich unterbewerteten Biomechanical oder Evile. Die Liste ließe sich ewig fortsetzen und wäre müßig einzelne Songs hervorzuheben, da allein die Bandnamen für sich sprechen. Die gilt natürlich auch für die Scandinavia Disc 3, mit The Haunted, Entombed, At The Gates und Co., sowie für das Resteuropaauffangbecken der fünften Scheibe, auf der man sein Haupt u.a. zu Vader, Severe Torture oder der Addiction Crew schütteln kann.

Details der über 80 Songs enthaltenden Tracklist entnehme man bitte unten stehenden Details. Fakt ist, dass dieser Extreme Metal Megasampler rundum Spaß macht, alteingesessenen Recken ohne Frage eine unterhaltsame Stunden bringen wird und für Neueinsteiger einen höchst essentieller Rundumschlag zur Erstnavigation der ohralen Landschaft darstellt.
Die Angelegenheit ist übrigens zum Nice Price zu erstehen und hat als „feinen“ Bonus noch das PC Game "Earache Extreme Metal Racing" parat (ursprünglich bereits auf der PS2 erschienen) auf dem man zehn Metal Teams durch irrwitzige Kurse geleiten und schwer abrüpeln darf, um nebenher mit fetter Metal Mucke diverser Earache Bands beschallt zu werden. Nicht genial, aber cool!
